| Petition Congress to Pass House Bill 675 |
House Bill 675 could be a very important addition to North Carolina expungement law.North Carolina House Bill 675, an Act to Amend Expunction Law, was introduced in April 2011. This bill would give individuals who have only been found guilty of one non-violent crime, including some felonies, the opportunity to expunge their record after seven (7) years have elapsed and no other crimes have been committed. This bill would be an excellent addition to the North Carolina expungement law, and would make many good individuals better candidates for jobs, education, and other life opportunities. Below you will find a form that will send an email to each Representative asking them to support the passage of this bill. You can find information about HB 675, its status and the full text of the bill at the General Assembly Website, here.
